AFTER REFUGE

What a great time we had in Birmingham the last couple of days with Youth Pastors and Youth Workers! We have been praying for REFUGE and working toward REFUGE for months, but we really did not think about what to do after REFUGE. We have tons of requests for video of the services. So, give us a little time to work out the details and, hopefully we can make the entire experience available on DVD.
We are enjoying all of the feedback and the THANK YOU's. We pray that REFUGE continues.

The excitement is growing as REFUGE draws near!

We know that many of you are making plans for the experience and want to connect with others concerning rental cars, hotel space, and other details.

Here is an opportunity for you to discuss those plans! We want to provide an outlet for you to communicate with one another, so feel free to post your comments as well as prayers and expectations for our time together.

This is designed to be a connection point solely for the participants - Student Life will not be making travel and hotel accommodations. Please see the links section for a complete listing of hotels in the area where we have secured blocks.

Please remember that REFUGE is specifically for youth pastors and youth minsitry leaders.....and their spouses. (60% of the people registered are bringing ther spouses.....f.y.i.)

Invitation to REFUGE

On May 1, 2008, we will open the invitation to REFUGE to any youth leaders who would like to attend. We are hosting REFUGE as a gift to Youth Pastors and Youth Ministry Leaders. Our hope is that it will be a time of listening and focus for those who have dedicated their lives to ministry to teenagers.

The blog entries below contain important details about REFUGE. There is a link on the right side menu bar where you can register. REFUGE is FREE. We are simply asking for some basic info to prepare for your arrival.

As of this date, REFUGE registration is about 70% of the seating capacity of Brook Hills (2200), so we feel certain that there will come a time when we must close registration.

We hope to see you in September.

The invitations to Refuge have been limited to a few emails and one letter. We asked you to hit reply on the email to let us know you were coming. If you did that, we have your registration. If not, there is now a link in the right menu of this blog where you can fill in a short form and let us know you are coming.

We've blocked rooms at a variety of hotels, with a wide range of rates. Click the link to the right to see the list.
